THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS won last year's Super Bowl going away, and looked to be nearly invincible again this SUper Bowl.

But they lost a key offensive tackle and their linebacker coach - and son of head coach Andy Reid - nearly killed two kids (indeed, one might still die) in a drunken car crash, and star QB's Pat Mahome's has his first kid due any day now, leaving them filled with some doubts and fears....

...Fears Tom Brady seemingly never has felt as his team came in mean & nasty, expecting to win with zero self doubt.  I don't think I've ever seen an otherwise great team so absolutely manhandled on both sides of the ball.  The Buc out hit the Chiefs on nearly every play, simply dominating them in the trenches.  Every tackle made by the Bucs seemed to have 4 guys in on it.  Mahomes was running for his life the entire 2nd half

Worse, the Chiefs were completely out-coached.  They continued to hang Mahomes out to dry on a bum foot, never calling a screen or draw or some sort of other play to slow down the Buc's relentless pass rush.

In the end, Brady - at age 43 - continues to be the great player playing, and the best to ever play.  He deservedly won MVP again.  Simply unreal.

The Lions have in the Super Bowl era won exactly 1 playoff game.  One.  Tom Brady, by himself, is better by a magnitude of of thousand, better than that shit organization.

97.1 just read a crazy stat - Pat Mahomes ran for 497 yards behind the line of scrimmage as he scrambled away from Buc's defenders.  The Bus tore through that offensive line like they were high school students.

For all those saying the refs stole this game, they've obviously know zero about the game.  Bucs absolutely sandblasted the Chiefs in the 2nd half.

In back-to-back-to-back weeks, the Bucs dominated Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes - all 3 destined for the Hall of Fame.

I didn't watch a second, but I knew just looking at the score as I followed, quarter by quarter and you could see it.

Field goals vs Touchdowns.

Every quarter.

Then the worst stat: start of the third, with the ball, KC.

Field goal.
Touchdown.

I knew it was game right there and I didn't have to watch a second.

That the Chiefs were held w/o a touchdown is borderline mindboggling...

And is yet another bit of proof that defense wins championships.

A statistic that will never show up has to be the immense pressure that playing against Tom Brady must generate, both as a defensive player where seemingly no matter what you do, you can't stop it,  and as an offensive player where you HAVE to make touchdowns every series or you're falling behind.

That leaks into the decision making for both squads.  Your defense hesitates, your offense presses too hard, both getting out of their gameplan while Brady's team has the opposite effect.

Can you trust a quarterback more than TB?  When he looks at his receivers and says, "Just turn around at the 30" and the ball is there every time?  How relaxing that must be, knowing that your QB has SIX Super Bowl rings and is an unassailable wall of confidence.

He's been playing nearly as long as some other players have been alive.
