Who knows if the league will finish the season, or if they'll align themselves with leftist terror cells, but as an intellectual exercise, here's my pick for this year.

Week 1 - Bears

It's a home game, but without fans, that doesn't mean much.  The Bears one of the worst teams on offense in the league - scratch that, the worst.  Mitch Trubiski is just an awful QB... well, except against the Lions, whom he naturally dominates.

Meanwhile the Lions look to be at least decent on offense, as long as Stafford stays on his feet.

Sadly for Lions fans, that might only be one game as the Bears still feature one of the meanest defenses in the league.  The Lions have at least one starter out on their offensive line, so Stafford might die today.  Also, Golladay & #1 pick Jeff Okuda are out for the Lions.

Weird to say, but this is something of a must-win game for the Lions, who obviously have a lot to prove after losing the last 12 of their 13 games last season.  But with one of the worst GMs in the league in the form of Bob Quinn, a coach who is arguably even worse, and QB that literally had a broken back last year (and has never won a game of importance as a pro), there's nothing for Lion's fans to get excited about.

The Lions have some pieces, and while I like Stafford, you have to have a defense to win.  Simply put, the Lions don't.

I'll likely predict them to lose every game, so I might as well start the year off right and say.....

BEARS win ugly.

BEARS win ugly.

The Lions had a 3 score lead going into the 4th quarter.  Naturally, they blew the lead and ended up losing 27-23 in a typically ugly way.  They somehow managed to give up 3 touchdowns to Mitch Trubiski, a QB so bad he likely wouldn't start for several top college teams.

Patricia is an awful coach.  That he's been allowed to have a job a janitor with a pro football team, much less as a head coach, shows just how utterly devoid of leadership the Lions ownership really is.

Bears didn't even come in looking terribly hungry, start the worst quarterback in the league, and still managed to score 27 points on the road against a team who's coach is supposed to be a defensive wiz.

An utter embarrassment.

The only good to come out of this season - one which has already lost nearly a 1/5 of all viewers - is that the Lions will have no choice but to shitcan Quinn and Patricia.  Which means they'll probably keep them anyway.
