...It's like there's a contest for who can lie the most:

"Newsweek Fires Reporter Who Wrote That Trump Would Be Tweeting And Golfing On Thanksgiving

Jessica Kwong, a former Newsweek political reporter covering the Trump administration, wrote an article originally titled “How Is Trump Spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, Golfing And More” on Thursday.

“The president and first lady Melania Trump departed from Washington D.C. for the holiday weekend at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday afternoon,” the original article read. “He spent Thanksgiving Eve, from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, playing golf at his Trump International Golf Club. It was closed to the press, according to his public schedule.”

The article was published at 10:16 a.m., a few hours before news broke that the president was actually in Afghanistan visiting troops.  It is not clear if the editor who helped with the article faced or will face any punishment."

Oopsie!  Anyone could have misplaced the President on the wrong continent not golfing but supporting our troops in a war zone, happens all the time....

Of course, this firing is just throwing her under the bus as Newsweek long ago gave up any semblance of objective reporting.  And as the last line indicates, the editor is just as responsible for this "mistake" of "reporting," as is whoever owns what's left of Newsweek, as they obviously have encouraged this shit.

Trump, for his part, perhaps had the best comment:  "I thought Newsweek was out of business."

Soon Mr. President, soon.

Have the courage to follow it.

I often wonder what keeps them afloat myself....

I know, deciding which satan-worshipping pedophile should have access to nuclear weaponry can get pretty wiry.  But worry not, this is why we have the ‘Marketplace of Ideas’; so we can work our asses off to articulately plead for the mercy of psychopaths who will ultimately get their way anyway.
