Do you know the sound of thunder?

Been on sale since March, so one suspects that Disney's mid-June release of the numbers is a bit of a cover-up:

"The first week DVD/Blu-Ray sales of The Force Awakens to The Last Jedi. The Last Jedi only sold 56% of the DVDs/Blu-Rays The Force Awakens during its first week, 3,420,000 for TFA vs. 1,940,000 (rounded to the nearest thousand).

That's $40,000,000 in lost revenue for first-week sales, comparing the two films."

It's also another sure sign that the movie sucks ass.  Of course, Disney should have seen this coming:  LAST JEDI had a whopping 69% drop from its first weekend of theatrical release to its second, a unenviable STAR WARS record.

Disney paid $4.25 billion for the rights to STAR WARS... meaning they're not close to making a profit on the francise because as we've well documented here, no one's buying the toys either.

Naturally, this is all those terrible fans fault.  At least that's what everyone from Stephen Colbert to Forbes magazine is telling people this week.

Listen to the thunder.
