SO, in pre-pro for the next full length feature and it's going to require a certain amount of special effects.  I'm planning on using a high number of models for those effects - shit like war planes, spaceships, yada - but I'm wondering if younger kids will buy it.

Now I know us old fogies generally prefer model shots - but do we prefer them because they look more realistic or because of nostalgia?

In other words, will younger audiences (like anyone under 30) buy a traditional model-based SFX flick?

At this point, no.

Circa 2005-2010 maybe, but now?

Nah, so good now it's hard to tell.

Do I need a reason? Mr. Kupfer was right, you know... I do love a good joke and this is the best ever, a joke on the children. But there's a better reason... you don't really know much about Halloween...

Now I'm not talking high budget, Marvel, CG here, but rinky-dink indie budget CG.
