Anyone know of one I can use?

I just picked up the files used to 3D print the parts of the DREDD Lawgiver and am looking to make it a reality.

I can barely get a normal printer to work...

I'll let you know if I hear anything.

So Shapeways is crazy expensive apparently. Some awesome dude in the Dredd Costume Group on Facebook pointed me to http://www.makexyz.com

Apparently you can find people with 3D printers in you area and ask them to print your stuff at about half the cost of Shapeways and also save on shipping.

I will give you an update when I find out if it works.

I know TechShop Detroit in Allen Park has one. You can check into getting a membership there maybe? Maybe you can do a one month membership just to use the printer? I dunno.

Woah I didn't know it was that much! I went to their grand opening a couple years ago and it didn't seem like that much. Daaaaaayum. It's probably worth it if you're making a lot of stuff in a short amount of time or something but not worth it just for this stuff.
